RKC Snatch Test

Haven't actually done the new test.

Going to do it today.

When I went to RKC, my weight required 64 snatches and the new test requires 84 in 5 minutes.

Also will test my Tactical Pull Ups today.

Then will go to an outdoor venue and practice with my kettlebell later today.

Care to join me?

The new snatch test is surprisingly easy. The old test definitely challenged the grip, this one doesn't, it seems to focus on endurance. So if you have been doing the MaxVO2 workouts, you will be fine. Being able to change your hands as many times as you want, so it is just about pacing yourself. Have fun! Cant wait to hear how it goes.

At RKC I had to do 64 snatches and the requirement had me at 84. I did 20 reps each minute. Different then the old test.

I think they are bumping it up to 100 reps for everybody later this year.

Well that doesn't seem quite right. Smaller guys and gals will be significantly impacted, wouldn't you agree?
